Serenity is celebrating our 10th birthday!!! Come join us this Saturday (Jan 9th) for a potluck dinner at 5 pm, a guest speaker at 6:30 pm and a root beer social after service.
The garage sale helped bring us closer to our goal. Thanks to all that helped with pricing, sorting, setting up, assisting shoppers and taking down. We could not have done it without your help.
With the cooler weather finally reaching East Texas, how would you feel about a bonfire? If you’re anything like us at Serenity Church, then you are ALL for one!
Serenity Church of Longview will be holding its annual bonfire this coming Saturday, November 14th, 2020at 6:30 pm. S’mores WILL be involved….along with chili dogs and Frito pie! This event will contain music, food, fellowship, games, prizes and so much more.
All are welcome to attend this casual fellowship that Serenitarians enjoy every year. The bonfire will be held at AJ and Pam’s house outside Kilgore. Their address is 12291 County Road 243. They are at the corner of Farm to Market Road 2276 and County Road 243. IF you need a ride, send us an email at email@example.com and we’ll hook you up with a ride.
If you planned on attending Serenity Church this coming Saturday, we won’t be at 103 Birdie Place…we’ll be in the woods having fun. Plan to join us!!
Come snatch up a bargain at our garage sale on Saturday October 17, 2020. It starts at 7am and goes until 12 pm. There are lots of Christmas decorations, clothes, dishes, and knickknacks. Something for everyone in the family. We would love to see you there.

Today we can decide that our attitude toward our faith in God as we understand Him is the
most important decision for our recovery we could make. You see, if we start with, “He can and
He will, therefore I can be willing to let Him!” Phillipians 4:13 says, “I can do all things in Christ who
strengthens me”, so this small action creates a willingness in attitude towards other
things, such as working our steps, to name a few. Just like you’ve heard before, breakfast is the most
important meal of the day because it primes our bodies and minds for the day.
You wouldn’t want to start your day with M&M chocolates for breakfast because
that’s junk and isn’t productive for our
bodies or our minds. Same principle applies, if we start with an attitude of
willingness for faith in
God to help us in our recovery, we have primed our minds and hearts to try.
